APPOINTMENT AS SHADOW ASSISTANT MINISTER FOR ENERGY SECURITY AND AFFORDABILITY

I am honoured to join Angus Taylor’s frontbench as Shadow Assistant Minister for Energy Security and Affordability.

Energy policy sits at the centre of Australia’s economic strength and national security. It affects every household, every business, and every job across our country.

Right now, families and businesses are being asked to carry the cost of policy decisions that are driving prices higher and making our energy system less dependable.

Australians deserve an energy system they can rely on – one that eases pressure on household budgets, supports jobs, and gives businesses the confidence to invest and grow.

I have been proud to contribute to the national conversation on energy, and I look forward to building on that work in this role.

I bring 20 years of engineering experience across mining and construction -industries where the work must stack up to reality, and the mathematics matters. Under Chris Bowen, Labor have gotten the numbers wrong on energy.

I look forward to supporting Shadow Minister for Energy and Emissions Reduction, Dan Tehan, and working with Angus Taylor and the Coalition team in holding the Government to account and ensuring Australia has a credible and practical pathway forward.

ENDS.
