An elected Dutton Liberal National Government will deliver lighting upgrades in partnership with the Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway, as part of our plan for stronger regions.
Federal Member for Groom, Garth Hamilton said he had been working with the Speedway to develop a plan to make the growing facility even better.
“Today we commit $900,000 to upgrade lighting and future proof this growing economic asset.
“I am pleased to announce that a future Dutton Liberal National Government will fund upgrades that will mean more events and more visitors to our region.
“This will be good for growth, jobs and local small businesses struggling under Labor,” Mr Hamilton said.
Speedway Manager Ryan Harris said the funding would make a real difference for both competitors and fans.
“These lighting upgrades are essential for us to keep improving the experience for everyone who comes through our gates,” Mr Harris said.
“Better lighting means sharper visibility, higher-quality events, better streaming, and a safer track for drivers, officials, and spectators.
“Our speedway is growing, and we want to make sure we’re offering the best possible venue for drivers and fans.
“This commitment is a game-changer for us, and we’re excited about what it means for the future.”
“We’re grateful for Garth’s support and belief in our venue.
